AEW play-by-play announcer Tony Schiavone reported on his ‘What Happened When’ podcast that the business had recruited eight-year-old Brodie Lee Jr. to a contract with the intention of putting him on the company’s stable when he is of legal age.

Lee Jr. is the child of AEW wrestler Brodie Lee, who is known outside the ring as Jon Huber. Huber perished on Saturday at the age of 41 from a lung condition unrelated to COVID-19, according to his wife Amanda. As per the report of Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, he had been in the infirmary since late October.

AEW’s official announcement of signing Brodie Lee’s son

“Knowing that Brodie was really unwell and knowing it was holiday time, and I guess knowing that for him to kick out, it was going to be, I don’t want to call a miracle, but it was going to be very tough to kick out,” Schiavone said of AEW’s contract with Lee Jr. Brodie had been taken to the television by his parents, and wrestling is his life. He is an eight-year-old boy. He’s a fantastic young man. They inducted him into The Dark Order.

“Knowing that Brodie was really sick and that it was the holidays, and I think knowing that for him to kick out, it was going to be a miracle, but it was going to be very difficult to kick out,” Schiavone said of AEW’s deal with Lee Jr. Brodie’s parents had dragged him to the screen, and wrestling is his life. He is a young boy of eight years old. He’s an incredible young man. He was accepted into The Dark Order.

Lee Jr. won the AEW World Championship by getting Kenny Omega to tap out during a dark television filming during the month they signed Lee Jr, according to Wrestling Inc.’s Sai Mohan. Lee Jr. was crowned champion by AEW ring announcer Justin Roberts.

AEW pays tribute to Brodie Lee on a special show

Following the sad death of Jon Huber aka Brodie Lee last week, AEW Dynamite held a tribute show on Wednesday for the former professional wrestler. With his wife and children in there, Huber, who perished on Saturday from a lung ailment, was commemorated with a 10 bell salute during the show’s beginning. Huber made his AEW debut in March after eight years of competing in the WWE under the stage name Luke Harper.

All through shows, other professional wrestlers, including former AEW Champion Jon Moxley, paid respect to the athlete in videos. Erick Rowan, Huber’s former tag team partner, also showed up with a placard that said, “Goodbye, for now, my brother.” “I’ll see you down the road,” says the narrator.
